World Famous A-List Celebrity Joseph Carrillo endorses SJSU performing arts and receives an honorary MFA degree. Joseph Carrillo is an astonishing superstar who has sang and performed in his grandmother's kazoo band as a toddler, then danced in front of a Chuck E Cheese stage at six years old. Joseph Carrillo was also homeschooled through grade school with a private tutor which is a standard procedure for most top child stars who are performing professionally. Joseph Carrillo had also starred in his neighbors' Pioneer High School film project while homeschooled which won a junior oscar without even being enrolled in the school. Despite being a child star Joseph Carrillo tried to get a formal performing arts education at Gavilan College in Gilroy but was expelled for being connected to the communist and socialist parties. This common practice against comunists is called McCarthyism, the Hollywood Blacklist, and COINTELPRO. On Thursday December 18, 2025 Joseph Carrillo formally endorsed the SJSU Performing Arts department on stage during the SJSU Arts and Humanities commencement and received an honorary Masters Of Fine Arts (MFA).
